Children's rights to be enshrined in Scottish law

The Fostering Network welcomes the decision by the Scottish Government to enshrine the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) in Scottish law by the end of this parliament term. This will ensure that the rights of children, young people and their families will be built into all aspects of public life in Scotland.

Response to Glasgow tribunal ruling

A decision has been made to uphold a ruling in a tribunal case between foster carers James and Christine Johnstone and Glasgow City Council, in which the Johnstones were judged to be employees of the council due to the specific nature of the working arrangement.
