Fostering Roadshow planned for new year

News
The Fostering Network is inviting its foster carer and fostering service members to a series of exclusive events across England in the new year.

The events, which will take place in February and March in Birmingham, Cambridge, Derby, Leeds, Maidstone, Manchester, Newcastle and Taunton, will be packed with information, advice and support on the latest issues in fostering.

There will be a range of practical workshops, presentations and information on key topics including staying put, foster carer finance, delegated authority, The Skills to Foster, Safer Caring and allegations, as well as opportunities to network with others who really care about fostering. The roadshows will also be a chance meet The Fostering Network’s experts who will be on hand to make sure you make the most of your membership, as well as listening to the issues that matter to you to help shape our work.

Andy Kirk, membership development manager at The Fostering Network, said: “We are always looking at ways to meet as many of our members as possible to support them and hear about the issues they are facing. The roadshows are an opportunity to do just that.

“We have designed these events around the information, feedback and contact we get from our members – both foster carers and fostering service staff – to make them relevant and informative to as wide of a group as possible, while still being able to meet individual needs.”
