Autumn Foster Care magazine out now

News

The latest edition of Foster Care magazine has been rattling through letter boxes across the UK in the last week.

This month’s issue features an in depth discussion about the role of foster carers as first educators with contributions from foster carer, and head of placements for Waltham Forest Council, David Fry, care leaver Soraya, and The Fostering Network’s Lisa Belletty where they discuss their own experiences, and the motivations behind our latest innovative programme of work around education, London Fostering Achievement

The magazine also features some key findings of the main issues affecting foster carers following our State of the Fostering Nation survey, we take a close look at our Head, Heart, Hands programme as it reaches the halfway mark and we meet the Hall family who share their good fortune through their fostering.

You can also find out more about how Hollywood actor Michael Sheen got involved with The Fostering Network in Wales earlier this year, meet Rebekah the daughter of foster carers from Fife and be inspired by Daniel’s experience of surviving heart surgery and having his life changed by fostering.
