Foster Care Fortnight™2025

Write to your elected rep to ask them to support Foster Care Fortnight™

Monday marked the start of Foster Care Fortnight™ which runs from 12–25 May. It is a UK wide campaign to raise awareness of the incredible impact of foster care, and to inspire more people to consider becoming foster carers. It’s also a chance to say a big thank you to all foster carers for their remarkable dedication.

This year’s theme, ‘The Power of Relationships’, celebrates the meaningful connections that transform lives.

We’ve calculated that 6,000 more foster families are needed to make sure children are supported to thrive. Read more about our recruitment targets here for each nation of the UK and region of England.

We have created influencing packs which include nation-specific stats, events, social media content and an email template that you can use to write to your elected representatives to ask them to support Foster Care Fortnight.

We are holding events in each nation of the UK with Ministers, foster carers and services, look out for more information in your next newsletter!
