This session will be delivered by Stuart Khokhar – Foster Carer and Trainer.
School runs, health appointments, sleepless nights, family time, and review meetings can be overwhelming for those caring for children. Many foster carers, myself included, have felt run down
and overwhelmed, with little time for ourselves. There is a real risk of burnout in this role. This webinar will clearly communicate that self-care is not selfish, but a vital consideration for wellbeing.
This webinar will include:
- Recognising the Signs of Burnout:
How to spot when you’re running on empty and what to do about it. - Practical Self-Care Strategies:
Simple, realistic ideas for looking after your mind and body, even when time is limited. - Overcoming Guilt:
Why putting yourself first sometimes is not only okay, but necessary for the children in your
care. - Building a Support Network:
Where to find support and how to ask for help when you need it. - Sharing Experiences:
A chance to hear from other foster carers and share what works for you.
Booking your free place: We expect the webinar to be popular, so please book early to secure your place. Please note that this webinar is for foster carers in Wales only. Please email [email protected] to book your place.
