The package provides the perfect starting point for developing your understanding about the health and wellbeing of children and young people with disabilities.

Launched in February 2015, disability Matters offers a range of resources that have all been co-developed including contributions from young people with disabilities and parent carers.

The site offers 96 courses in total covering a broad range of topics with the aim of providing high quality, practical advice enabling learners to better support young people to achieve the outcomes that matter to them.

The e-learning has been very well received a since the launch, with 86% of learners reporting that Disability Matters was helpful or very helpful and 77% of learners saying that Disability Matters has boosted their confidence.

One learner writes: “I have never had the confidence to work with children with certain hidden disabilities because I didn’t have the knowledge or skills. These short e-learning sessions are very good and I can’t wait to do some more next week. Thank you for a wonderful resource.”

The e-learning package can be accessed here free of charge.
