On Monday 16 June, five members of our Young People’s Advisory Board in Scotland attended the Young Scot Awards 2025 as finalists in the Equality and Diversity category!
The board is made up of six incredible young people aged 16-21, with experience of foster care or who are children of foster carers from across Scotland. They come together to shape the fostering sector and wider care community.
The celebration is important recognition for all that they do. With around 400 nominations submitted this year, making it to the final three in their category is an amazing achievement.
The young people have taken part in some truly impactful work such as meeting with key people and decision-makers to supporting and developing training.
This is a moment to thank them for their commitment giving so much or their time attending meetings and traveling to events. Throughout everything that they do they always demonstrate teamwork, kindness and support for one another.
The awards night was a beautiful celebration, held at Platform in Glasgow, where we were honoured to be part of an inspiring evening. We had the chance to celebrate other incredible young people across Scotland, enjoy a dance performance, mocktails, and even a silent disco!
Thank you to Young Scot and again to our every Young People’s Advisory Board member in Scotland.
