Our free one-day regional masterclasses, funded by the Welsh Government, will help foster carers support unaccompanied asylum seeking children and young people through assessing their specific needs, exploring the reasons for leaving their home country and outlining the asylum process
The masterclasses will explore:
- The cultural and care needs of these children and develop skills in supporting and caring for UASC.
- Explore why children and young people leave their home country and the effect that their experiences may have had on them.
- Explore specific issues for UASC in terms of safeguarding, the asylum process, cultural awareness, competence and inclusion.
