Advice and Mediation Worker: South Midlands – 18 hours per week

Salary: £28,000 - £42,021 per annum (pro-rata)

Hours: 18 hours per week

Location: Home Based in the South Midlands

Fixed-term contract: April 2021 – 31 March 2023

A unique opportunity have arisen for  motivated and energetic individual to join a well established team of home workers providing an independent Advice and Mediation service to foster carers and fostering staff in the South Midlands – covering Milton Keynes, Luton, Oxfordshire and Children First( Northamptonshire) 

If you are a qualified social worker or have a similar qualification with experience of the fostering community , and you are passionate about ensuring that foster carers receive good quality support and are treated fairly at all stages of their fostering career, then we would be interested in hearing from you.

 

You must be able and willing to travel widely across these local authorities and make  visits to London for team and other meetings; have excellent communication skills including excellent IT skills , good powers of argument, persuasion and negotiation, and an ability to make effective relationships with foster carers and staff.
