Project Worker - Mockingbird

Salary: £32,480 - £37,555 per annum (+ London weighting added if eligible)

Hours: Full time – 35 hours

Location: : Home based North/Midlands based England, with travel required throughout UK. Applicants MUST live and work in the Northwest/Midlands area to be considered.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team of passionate and dynamic project workers within Mockingbird.  You will make a vital contribution helping us to sustain and expand this model throughout the UK. In this role you will help make a difference and improve the lives of foster families and of children and young people in foster care.

What you’ll be doing

Mockingbird, led by The Fostering Network in the UK, delivers sustainable foster care. This exciting programme is currently working with over a hundred fostering services across England, Scotland and Wales, and is looking to grow further. Mockingbird is an evidence-based model structured around the support and relationships an extended family provides. The model nurtures the relationships between children, young people and foster families supporting them to build a resilient and caring community.  

You will make a vital contribution helping us to sustain and expand this model throughout the UK. In this role you will help make a difference and improve the lives of foster families and of children and young people in foster care. You will provide guidance and support to fostering services to enable them to understand, implement and sustain the Mockingbird model.

The role is home based (applicants must live within the Northwest/Midlands area) and will require extensive travel and occasional overnight stays within the UK on a regular basis.
