On Wednesday 22 March, The Fostering Network bid a fond farewell to our president, Jim Bond. After celebrating more than a decade in the role he is now passing the baton on to Libby Thornhill who was recently appointed as his replacement.

The Fostering Network Wales are delivering free Fostering Changes training programmes across Wales for Independent Fostering Agencies over the next 4 years. The courses are open to all foster carers regardless of their experience and relationship to the children they look after. The next Fostering Changes Courses for foster carers in the Independent sector will be running from January – March 2017 in South Wales.

Our Finance and Foster Care Course has traditionally been offered to foster carers to help them complete their tax returns and understand all fostering related finances, including benefits, national insurance contributions and bank accounts for children and young people. We are delighted to offer this course as an open course to social workers and their finance teams.
