Some advice for foster carers by Abigail #SandD2015

In my opinion, I think that fostering is quite important because it affects people’s lives in a good way. Some people get attached to children that walk into their front door even if they stay with them for a day or a year. You don’t find a lot of quiet, shy and low tempered kids around here so the work is harder for you but I guarantee a lot of people that start this job will love it.

Give love and care for the child since they have gone through a hard time in their life. Don’t favourtise your child and not the fostered, give them equal gifts, love and care. If they get angry in any case don’t shout and jump to conclusions, just tell them to go to their room and when they are calm tell them to explain to you what the problem is and how you’re going to work it out. Do some activities so that it won’t be boring for the child and yourself.

I hope you take my advice.
