We’re looking for an outstanding individual to join our well-established team of Practice Support Consultants, based regionally across England. You will be the lead contact for members of The Fostering Network across the South West of England, liaising with fostering services in the region and providing our members with high quality practice support and advice. You will be experienced in working independently and able to engage with stakeholders both virtually and in person. You will have a strong experience of children’s social care, especially fostering, likely developed through a career in social work, as a foster carer, or care experience. You will have a proven understanding of practice issues in relation to foster care, and demonstrable knowledge of fostering legislation and guidance in England. You will have the skills needed to deliver high quality practice support across the fostering sector.  

 

You will be an excellent communicator; able to produce high quality written reports and able to represent The Fostering Network to a range of audiences – locally, regionally and nationally.  Based from home, you will work independently and flexibly, engaging with fostering services and those they support across the South West of England.  

If you are a qualified social worker, or equivalent experience, and have an in depth knowledge, significant experience and sound understanding of fostering services and fostering related issues we want to hear from you.
