Could you be a trustee of The Fostering Network?

News

The Fostering Network is looking for five new trustees to join the board and help the charity continue its work with foster families and fostering services, in order to ensure that fostered children can achieve the very best they can.

Of the five vacancies, four are for foster carers, and the fifth is for an individual who is involved in the child care service/ foster care partnership.

Any member of The Fostering Network can stand for election, but the trustees are particularly looking to achieve a more diverse and inclusive board which reflects fostering in the four nations as we lobby the governments of the UK, campaign in the media and work with policy makers to improve standards of foster care throughout the UK.

We also would encourage applicants of any race, ethnic origin, religion and belief, physical and mental ability, sex and sexual orientation to represent the diverse population of carers and young people throughout the care system.

If you’d like to stand for election to the trustee board, please nominate yourself on our website and make sure you secure endorsements from two members of the Fostering Network who are not members of your household.

Nominations close at 5pm on Friday 19 September.
