Trek the Great Wall of China

News

The Fostering Network is seeking intrepid explorers and adventure seekers to join us in October 2015 in trekking the Great Wall of China.

Dave, a foster carer who has travelled the world raising vital funds for The Fostering Network, said: “Supporting The Fostering Network is vital - not just so they can keep doing the work they do for us, but also the outside world has no idea how little authority foster carers have - even down to having to get permission to have a fostered child's fringe cut.

“They are involved even at that level, and have been able to empower foster carers to use their common sense and get the authority that is needed. This is why I fundraise for The Fostering Network and I hope you can join me by fundraising as well!”

Tony Round, head of fundraising at The Fostering Network, said: “The challenge will push you but we know from others who have done it before that it is truly the adventure of a lifetime.

“But if China is a bit too far, or the wall is a bit too long, then there are so many ways you can throw your support behind The Fostering Network to help us continue our work all across the UK.

“From walking to baking and sky diving to sponsored silences, you don’t have to even leave your house to support the thousands of children who live with foster carers each year.”

If you or a team can raise £2,700 each and be a part of a very special 10-day trek, which will take place 8-17 October 2015, then please email fundraising@fostering.net or call 020 7620 8403.
