The Fostering Network is the UK’s leading fostering charity. By working with foster families, and the services that support them, we help all children and young people who are fostered to achieve the very best they can.

We are currently looking for a project worker to help us deliver the Health and Social Care Board commissioned Fostering Attainment and Achievement service. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver an education service to help improve the educational outcomes of looked after children in foster care.

As part of the team, you will deliver educational supports to children and young people in foster care and support foster carers to engage with the education system to enable them to nurture every child’s potential.

With a third level qualification in youth work or education, you will be a highly motivated self-directed individual able to work on your own initiative, with an understanding of issues relating to foster care and meeting the educational needs of looked after children. Your ability to develop effective working relationships, to design and deliver programmes of training and support, resources and activities will help to meet an identified need. Your excellent communication and engagement skills will ensure the project is delivered in an inclusive and participative manner.
