A unique opportunity has arisen for a qualified company secretary or by virtue of professional qualification or a minimum of two years as a company secretary, or experience as a legal adviser who can help us to improve the lives and life chances of children and young people in foster care.

We are looking for an experienced legal adviser/company secretary volunteer to guide and advise trustees on all governance and regulatory matters.

To be successful in this role you should:

  • Be a qualified company secretary or by virtue of professional qualification or a minimum of two years as a company secretary or legal adviser
  • Have a good working knowledge and understanding of charity law, company law and the principles of good governance.

You will have excellent communications skills and be able to work collaboratively with Trustees and the chief executive. An experience of membership organisations will be helpful.
